In the early 22nd century the magnetic poles of the Earth began their natural migration to the opposite ends of the globe. During this event the protective barrier provided by Earth's magnetic field weakened allowing the surface of the Earth to be bombarded with cosmic radiation. Every satellite in orbit was destroyed along with power grids across the world. It is now the 25th century and life on Earth has evolved to survive on this radiation riddled planet in vastly different ways. Mutations are rampant and electricity is scarce in this ever changing world.
